IoT4Industry, a new exploratory project

Welcome to the IoT4Industry project space for communicating our recent experiences in developing IoT know-hows around the future industry and manufacturing. IoT4Industry stands for “Secure, Privacy-preserving Agents for the Industrial Internet”, and is an exploratory project funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency, for the period October 2014 – September 2015.

Our core areas to be explored in the project relate to security, privacy and IPR/data protection requirements translated into game-theoretic agent behavior, which will be thoroughly simulated in a demo factory floor environment supporting a specific supply chain negotiation. A demo factory floor will be implemented within our IoT-lab, and will make a use of the Ultimaker 2 (3D printer), which provides a high printing quality, and is open source. We ordered the Ultimaker 2 printer in September, and are now waiting for it to be delivered.
